我们圈养的猪,每天所要喂的谷物很多,若是把这些谷物汇集起来,世界上就不会再有粮荒的发生了。饲养动物所耗费的水量更是惊人的。

就不要提那些鸡鸭了,本来他们的性格,应是在大自然里快乐的奔跑的。可是,为了他们能快速的成为肉鸡肉鸭,他们就再也没有生命的欢乐和自由了。从出生就囚在小小的鸡笼和鸭笼里,天天打各样的增肉的防病的毒针,不到半年就拿到集市上去买了。

鸭子更是可怜,在临死前为了保证肉质的鲜美,就让鸭子走在加热的铁板上,这样他一热,就会喝在旁边准备好的含味素的水,他是越热越喝,越喝越渴,越渴越喝,直到那些液体充满了他的整个肌肉组织。因为铁板很烫,鸭子的脚走来走去,里面充满了水,这样的鸭掌,就是我们餐盘里的肥美的鸭掌。我们在吃时,从来没想到过就应为让我们吃得肥美,鸭子受到了多麽大的罪啊,！那都是酷刑啊！我们做为有神性的人,怎麽能因为让自己的欲望得到满足,而去伤害别的生灵呢？我们的道德在那里呢？我们都知到我们不能杀人,可是我们就能杀别的非人类的动物吗？他们和我们一样具有生存权的啊！

中国原来其实一直不是个食肉大国,但在接受欧美思想时,也顺手把多吃肉营养来得快这一观点也是照着学来了。且是深信不疑的。直到数十年后,才发现问题的所在,各类癌症的高发病率,这个问题我不多说大家也都知道的。我们从动物身上获取的蛋白质并不是不能从别处获得的,我们可以同样从豆类和菌类里获得这些营养的,也不会造成缺乏营养,这个是现代科学证明的了。
